Leather Pen Case by Roberu and Anchor Bridge

By Anchor Bridge Roberu

This Leather Pen Case (¥7,035Prices are approximate only and subject to change.

) is made with the shoemaking skills of Anchor Bridge and the leather craftsmanship of Roberu—two of Japan’s great leather craft houses. The Pen Case puts functionality first and high-quality materials and construction a close second. Anchor Bridge’s motto is “only the essential elements,” and the pen case keeps things simple with a smooth zip running from end-to-end, and space for just enough pens or pencils.

But what really sets this Zip Wallet apart (as with other Roberu goods), is the leather, which is soft which a slight elasticity. Roberu has chosen to use Cordovan leather from a prestigious American tannery. Cordovan is horse leather from a specific part of its hind-quarters, which is then treated and polished for six months—the old fashioned way. Dyes and glazes are rubbed in by hand to hold the original texture of the leather, which these two brands love to display. The leather feels soft to touch and each wallet is unique, with a slightly different finish and patterning due the nature of the material, “enjoy the aroma and fine texture,” says Anchor Bridge.

Materials: Cordovan Horse Leather
